Eco Friendly Printing
Why Choose Eco Friendly Screen Printers?
Because everything we can do as a collective group to help protect the future of our environment is a positive step in the right direction. In our industry there are many opportunities a printer can to take to make their printing process ‘greener’.
Print Collective Screen Printing uses non-phthalate inks. Non-PVC. These are inks or compounds that do not contain PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) resins or phthalate based plasticizers. Phthalates (pronounced THAL-ates) are organic chemicals derived from oil. They are the most commonly used plasticizers in the world and have been used for many years, primarily to make polyvinyl chloride (PVC) soft and flexible but there are some concerns about the chemical having possible effects on human health so we do not use them.
All chemicals used during the post-production screen reclaiming process at Thrive Screen Printing are biodegradable, and made from either soybeans or corn. This amounts to no toxic chemicals going down the drain, and yet another step towards improving the sustainability of our planet.
Our offices and art departments have also taken measures to ensure an eco friendly workplace, and examples of this can be found everywhere from the use of recycled paper products to the use of continuous ink systems in our production inkjet printers.
We also recycle our waste products using recycling containers for paper, plastics and cardboard throughout the workplace. In these ways we ensure that we not only live up the the standards set by ourselves, but also by our customers, partners and the global shift toward an “environment aware” business model.
At Print Collective, we are proud to be a part of the worldwide movement to protect the Earth and by choosing eco-friendly screen-printing materials and maintaining a ‘Green’ work place in as many facets of our business as we can, we like to consider ourselves as part of the solution towards an eco friendly world.
